EAS Emergency Accommodation Service.
The Hope Hub, in partnership with Surrey Heath EAS, run safe overnight accommodation in Camberley, with a hot meal and staff onsite to provide support. The “house” sleeps up to 7 people for typically 6 weeks. It is a safe space where drugs, alcohol and aggressive behaviour are not tolerated, just like at The Hope Hub.
The House is open between 6pm and 8:30 am. Everyone has their own room. Breakfast, snacks and an evening meal are provided, where everyone is encouraged to eat together family style.
The facility offers short-term accommodation for single adults needing emergency housing, who have a local connection to Surrey Heath and have been assessed as non-priority – people the council don’t have a duty to provide accommodation for, whilst they are homeless. Before being offered a room, a full assessment is carried out to ensure that they are able to live in a shared environment with other people, are prepared to abide by a set of house rules (including a curfew) and are willing to work with local services to secure long term accommodation during their time at the EAS.
All the donations received to The Hope Hub are shared between the hub and the house. So please note… Residents at the house do NOT need a food parcel or toiletries. If you are unsure then please ask Clare or the case worker on duty.
