Investing in Volunteers (IiV) is the UK quality standard for organisations with volunteers. The IiV standard seeks to improve the quality of the volunteering experience for all volunteers ensuring best practice, training and strong communications is actively in place for all volunteers.
A two day assessment in October looked at six quality areas after a 15 month programme. This involved interviewing the CEO, several staff, volunteers and one Trustee during the process. We are delighted with this award and will continue to value our volunteers and their huge contribution to our charity.
Quote from Mags, our CEO:
“We’re thrilled! Thank you so much to our staff and volunteers for their efforts and participation in helping us secure the Investing in Volunteers Award. We truly value all our volunteers and the caring manner they demonstrate to our Service Users. All our volunteers make a significant contribution to our service delivery and are greatly appreciated.”
